Deliveroo in London is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to shape decision-making systems that affect customer experience, trust, and fairness. This role sits in a hybrid London office, typically 3 days in the office.

You will own the full ML lifecycle from design to production, deploying models and building robust, scalable systems in collaboration with product managers. Strong focus on reliability, observability, and GenAI-enabled solutions.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as an ML Engineer or Data Scientist, with production-grade Python.
• Experience deploying Generative AI workstreams including LLMs, transformers, and fine-tuning.
• Experience deploying and managing models with Docker, Kubernetes and CircleCI.
• Strong foundations in ML and evaluation techniques with a bias for business impact.
• Collaborative mindset with mentoring experience and problem-solving at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own the full ML lifecycle from design to productionisation for customer-support and decision systems.
• Architect for reliability with monitoring, evaluation, and alerting for real-time drift or failures.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to convert problems into scalable ML solutions.
• Provide technical leadership to establish high ML quality, reliability, and maintainability.
• Bridge data scientists and engineers to embed models in high-performance systems.
