Fitch Group seeks a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in London to join our new AI Innovation teams. You will design and ship breakthrough generative AI systems, agentic workflows, and intelligent platforms that transform credit analysis and financial markets.

You'll lead projects, mentor engineers, and set technical standards while collaborating with product squads and researchers. This is a high-impact role with enterprise backing and cutting-edge compute resources.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience building production AI/ML systems.
• Strong experience with generative AI and large language models.
• Proficient in Python and ML algorithms; production-grade model deployment.
• Experience with MLOps, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Bachelor's degree in ML/CS/DS/Applied Mathematics or related field (Master's/PhD preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design and build transformative ML systems including generative AI, agentic workflows, and RAG architectures.
• Lead projects from design through deployment with robust CI/CD for ML systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and set technical standards and best practices.
• Develop production ML infrastructure and APIs (FastAPI) for model deployment.
• Collaborate with product and cross-functional teams to integrate ML solutions into flagship products.
