Job summary

Fitch Ratings is seeking a senior Machine Learning Engineer to join its AI Innovation Teams in London. You will architect and deploy breakthrough ML systems, mentor engineers, and partner with product teams to scale agentic AI across financial analysis platforms.

The role blends hands-on execution with strategic leadership, shaping governance, architecture, and deployment patterns while driving practical AI solutions that impact credit analysis and market insights.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional experience building production AI/ML systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks.
• Experience designing scalable ML architectures and deployment patterns.
• Proven ability to translate research into production-ready solutions.
• Excellent collaboration with product, engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect net-new ML solutions including agentic workflows and scalable platforms.
• Lead exploration of generative AI, multi-agent systems, RAG architectures, and model fine-tuning.
• Define ML technical vision and architecture for the organization.
• Mentor and coach engineers while partnering with cross-functional teams.
• Balance innovation with engineering best practices and CI/CD for ML deployments.
• Monitor model performance, governance, and reliability in production.
