Job summary

Devon Partnership Trust invites applications for a Band 6 Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join the Torbay Liaison Psychiatry Service. The post supports a 24/7 service with night duties on a rolling rota and enhanced pay for unsocial hours, across Torbay General Hospital in Torquay, South Devon.

You will assess and manage referrals, work within a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to developing recovery plans for adults presenting with mental health needs in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

Professional mental health qualification (RMN, CQSW / ASW, BSc/Diploma in OT)
Current registration with a professional body (NMC)
Post graduate qualification relevant to specialism

Responsibilities

Assess and manage referrals from Torbay General Hospital and the Liaison Psychiatry team.
Provide specialist mental health assessments and formulate recovery plans.
Work within a busy MDT to deliver assessment and intervention for admitted patients.
Offer supervision and mentorship to junior staff and students.
Deliver training and CPD activities to develop clinical skills.
Contribute to policy, service development and risk management within DPT and DGH.

Education

Mental health qualification (RMN, CQSW/ASW, BSc/Diploma in OT)
