Job summary

Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust is recruiting a Band 6 Specialist Practitioner to work across Devon and Cornwall. The role requires mobile working within the South West and offering both face-to-face and virtual appointments in line with need.

The post supports safe care delivery, trauma-informed practice, and leadership across the MDT, acting as a keyworker and mentor to junior colleagues while ensuring accurate documentation and outcome evaluation.

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health assessment and safety planning.
• Ability to lead holistic assessments and develop Personal Wellbeing Plans.
• Experience supervising/junior staff and providing preceptorship.
• Commitment to trauma-informed practice and compassionate leadership.

Responsibilities

• Act as a keyworker coordinating all aspects of care and communication.
• Lead on holistic assessments and develop Personal Wellbeing Plans.
• Provide or advise on nursing care aligned with NMC Code.
• Supervise junior staff and provide mentorship and supervision as required.
