Job summary

Toomey Motor Group in Basildon, Essex, is seeking a skilled MET Technician / Stripper & Fitter with a minimum of five years’ experience to join our busy bodyshop.

You will carry out all types of vehicle body repairs with high standards, have your own tools, and manage your own workload. This permanent, full-time role offers a salary of £25,000–£40,000 per year, plus a performance bonus and company pension; Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years’ experience as a MET Technician / Stripper & Fitter.
• Ability to perform all types of body fitting to a high standard.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all types of vehicle body repairs.
• Perform body fitting to a very high standard.
• Carry out mechanical repairs as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in MET area.
• Manage own workload and work well in a team.
