Job summary

MacGregor Black is partnering with a high-growth womenswear fashion brand near Chester to hire a Senior Merchandiser. This full-time, office-based role covers merchandise planning, Open-to-Buy, and performance across ranges, using sales data and trends to shape seasonal collections and optimize margin and stock.

You will collaborate with Design, Product Development and Sourcing, lead weekly merchandising reporting, and help define longer-term strategies while mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of merchandising experience in fashion.
• Strong experience in fast-paced retail/ecommerce environments.
• Proven track record of managing seasonal range plans, forecasting, OTB and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver seasonal merchandise and range plans aligned with brand and commercial objectives.
• Collaborate with Design, Product Development and Sourcing to build cohesive, commercially successful collections.
• Use historical sales, market insights and customer trends to inform future range planning.
• Forecast seasonal sales and manage Open-to-Buy budgets across assigned categories.
• Own margin performance and work with Product Development and Sourcing to manage intake margin.
• Monitor stock, inventory levels and category performance to maintain optimal product mix.
• Identify assortment gaps and opportunities across existing and international markets.
• Develop markdown, replenishment and stock management strategies.
• Produce weekly reporting on sales, inventory and merchandising KPIs.
• Analyze trading performance and translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Provide commercial insight before range planning with preferred categories and changing consumer preferences.
• Support longer-term merchandising strategies using available data.
• Assist with seasonal critical path and product-review feedback.
• Collaborate with Ecommerce and Marketing to communicate priorities and opportunities.
• Gather product and customer feedback to inform future actions.
