Job summary

WolfStone Recruitment is partnering with a Manchester-based fashion retailer to hire a Merchandising Manager. You will take full ownership of the merchandising function across all channels, reporting to the senior leadership team and guiding a high-performing team through seasonal buys and ongoing planning.

You will translate sales targets into stock plans, monitor key KPIs, and collaborate closely with Buying, Finance and E‑commerce to drive trading performance and margin protection.

Job description

I'm currently partnering with an established fashion retailer based in Manchester to find a Merchandising Manager. Reporting into the senior leadership team, you'll take full ownership of Merchandising function across all channels. This is a great opportunity for a Senior Merchandiser looking to take the next step or an existing Merchandising Manager looking for a new challenge.

The Role

• Take full ownership delivering accurate forecasting across demand, OTB and margin.
• Translating sales and financial targets into effective stock and intake plans
• Own the seasonal and quarterly buy plans across all channels ensuring well-balanced product mix.
• Analyse weekly trade, identifying risks and opportunities to maximise sell-through and protect margin.
• Day-to-day responsibility for the merchandising function across all channels
• Develop and maintain relevant KPIs and reporting to improve decision making.
• Work closely with the Buying Director for range planning and selection.
• Inspire, mentor and develop your team, supporting growth, progression and setting clear objectives and standards.
• Partner with other areas of the business including Warehouse, E-commerce, Design and Finance.

About You

We're looking for a proven merchandising leader who can blend strategic thinking with a hands‑on approach.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Merchandising Manager, Senior Merchandiser or similar leadership role.
• Advanced planning, forecasting and stock management expertise.
• Excellent commercial and analytical skills.
• Experience managing and developing merchandising teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
