Job summary

We are MARCH. The leading provider of critical engineering services. We seek a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial activities on a portfolio of MEP projects from our Scotland South Team in Uddingston, Glasgow.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified or equivalent (desirable).
• Significant experience in MEP projects.
• Experience working with NEC contracts.
• Strong negotiation, risk management and commercial delivery skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building across teams.
• Full UK driving licence; professional membership desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support contract reviews, negotiations and documentation in line with governance requirements.
• Manage contract terms, obligations, bonds and warranties.
• Provide commercial support throughout the tendering and bidding process, including risk assessment.
• Protect stakeholder interests by ensuring governance procedures are followed.
• Prepare and issue subcontract orders and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Support project teams with Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), cost control and profit improvement.
• Manage variations, claims and final accounts to maximise commercial outcomes.
• Monitor work in progress, debt levels and commercial performance across projects.
• Support the resolution of contractual issues and disputes.
• Mentor and develop operational teams, promoting strong commercial awareness and best practice.
• Completion of contract documentation and support the Commercial Manager to undertake contract reviews and negotiations to align with governance requirements.
