Job summary

Crown House Technologies, part of the Laing O''Rourke Group, is seeking a Senior MEP Planner to lead planning on a landmark Lancashire project. Based between the Manchester office and the project site during enabling works, you will help shape the early programme through to completion.

This role offers exposure to major engineering and building services, with the chance to influence planning strategy while collaborating with the client, project team and supply chain.

Qualifications

• Senior-level planning experience on complex construction or MEP projects.
• Strong MEP sequencing, buildability and programme knowledge.
• Experience with project controls and forecasting.
• Pre-construction, design, procurement and construction planning experience.
• Strong client and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to spot programme issues and turn them into workable solutions.
• Experience supporting, coaching or leading other planners.

Responsibilities

• Lead on MEP planning and programme coordination.
• Develop and maintain the Contract Programme and Programme to Build.
• Plan across design, procurement, construction and short-term delivery.
• Develop logical, efficient and buildable construction sequences.
• Monitor progress and identify risks, opportunities and delays.
• Provide programme analysis, forecasting and mitigation plans.
• Advise on the commercial and programme impact of project decisions.
• Work directly with the client, project team, stakeholders and supply chain.
• Support and develop other planners within the team.
• Drive improvements in planning, controls and project delivery.

Senior MEP Planner

Crown House Technologies, part of the Laing O'Rourke Group, is looking for an experienced Senior MEP Planner to play a key role on a major project in Lancashire.

You’ll be based between our Manchester office and the project office during the enabling works phase, supporting the project through its early planning and enabling stages. Main works are due to commence in February 2029, with completion scheduled for Q4 2031.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior planner looking to get involved in a landmark project at an early stage, with the opportunity to influence planning strategy from early planning right through to successful delivery.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll take the lead on MEP planning and programme controls, working closely with our project, engineering, commercial, design and construction teams.

Your role will include:

• Leading planning and programme coordination.
• Developing and maintaining the Contract Programme and Programme to Build.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be an experienced planner with a strong understanding of MEP and complex construction delivery, comfortable operating at senior level.

• Senior-level planning experience on complex construction or MEP projects
• Strong MEP sequencing, buildability and programme knowledge
• Experience with project/programme controls and forecasting
• Pre-construction, design, procurement and construction planning experience
• Strong client and stakeholder communication skills
• The ability to spot programme issues and turn them into workable solutions
• Experience supporting, coaching or leading other planners
