Job summary

PSR Solutions in London is seeking an Operations Manager - MEP (Mechanical Bias) to provide senior operational and technical leadership across major Building Services projects in London.

The role focuses on early risk identification and management, ensuring buildability, quality and delivery targets are met. You will oversee design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning with a strong mechanical bias.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering major MEP / Building Services projects.
• Strong mechanical Building Services background.
• Good understanding of electrical services and wider MEP interfaces.
• Experience providing senior operational or project leadership across complex schemes.
• Strong technical understanding of design, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Proven ability to identify and manage technical, construction and quality risk.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior operational leadership across major MEP projects.
• Oversee delivery, ensuring programmes, quality and technical standards.
• Provide mechanical technical leadership across design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Support and develop project teams, engineers and subcontractors.
• Identify and manage technical, design, construction and quality risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review design information, drawings and specifications for buildability and interface risks.
• Ensure robust quality standards and inspection processes across projects.
• Identify defects early and drive preventative action and close-out.
• Review ITPs, inspection records and commissioning requirements.
• Manage interfaces between mechanical, electrical and specialist systems.
• Provide technical challenge to project teams, consultants and subcontractors.
• Support resolution of complex technical, quality and delivery issues.
• Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement across operations.
• Work with senior management to improve project performance and delivery standards.
