Job summary

SRVO is a Chartered Surveying and Property Consultancy delivering building surveying and project services across the UK, serving commercial and residential sectors with a practical problem-solving approach. As Senior Engineer (MEP) you will set technical standards, lead design and delivery of robust, energy-efficient building services, and mentor junior engineers across mixed-use projects.

This role is hybrid in London with a competitive package including private healthcare and discretionary

Qualifications

• Deliver mechanical design and technical assurance across multi-disciplinary MEP projects.
• Work across residential and commercial buildings, including refurbishments and occupied premises.
• Apply building regulations, standards and guidance (e.g., Part L, Part F, SFG20, CIBSE guides).
• Leading site inspections, surveys, commissioning activities and contractor coordination.
• Using design and analysis tools (Revit, AutoCAD) for HVAC and duct sizing.

Responsibilities

• Lead surveys, assessments and feasibility studies across occupied and unoccupied buildings.
• Develop designs, specifications and schedules, and review contractor designs and submittals.
• Prepare technical reports, costed options and lifecycle recommendations for client decision-making.
• Coordinate with electrical and public health engineers to produce integrated MEP solutions.
• Oversee site works, witnessing testing and commissioning, and close out snagging with clear documentation.
• Support bid responses, scopes of service and programme planning for clients.
