Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland invites a Senior Design Manager - MEPHFC to join the Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Discipline in our West London project teams. You will oversee the MEPHFC design management for a high-profile rail JV, coordinating with Construction Partner, Consultant, and package contractors to ensure timely, quality, and constructible designs.

Reporting through the Design Delivery Manager, you will balance team priorities, manage interfaces, and drive change control while ensuring

Qualifications

• Educated to degree or higher in engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer or membership of a professional institution or equivalent.
• Rail project experience: London Underground, Network Rail, Crossrail, or TFL.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a challenging workload with minimal supervision.
• Experience leading design teams and coordinating with consultants and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead MEPH design management as the main point of contact for the subcontractor’s design with other departments.
• Review and accept the subcontractor’s submissions for quality and interfaces.
• Coordinate programme interfaces between FRC, structural, architectural and MEPHFC suppliers.
• Manage change control and value engineering opportunities within the approved process.
• Lead delivery of design dependencies supporting verification certification and readiness.
