Job summary

SYSTRA is hiring a Senior MEPHFC Design Manager to join the Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Discipline in West London. You will manage a team of Design Managers, coordinating across Construction Partner teams and consultants to deliver assured MEPHFC designs for a major rail project.

The role focuses on design verification, interfaces, change control, and value engineering within a high-profile joint venture. Strong leadership, rail experience, and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree or higher level in a relevant Engineering discipline.
• Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional membership.
• Experience on rail projects across London Underground, Network Rail, Crossrail and TFL.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills including writing and presenting.
• Capable of organising and developing your work with minimal supervision.
• Engages with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders to achieve objectives.

Responsibilities

• Act as lead MEPH design management point of contact across departments and with the Consultant.
• Coordinate submissions for quality, interfacing and completeness.
• Lead on design coordination and progress with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manage change through subcontractors’ technical assurance processes.
• Provide interface for MEPHFC disciplines to multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Drive delivery of design dependencies supporting certification readiness.
