Job summary

Skanska Costain STRABAG Joint Venture is seeking an experienced MEP Construction Manager to lead the MEP team for the Shafts & Headhouses Delivery Unit on the HS2 London Tunnels project. You will manage resources, drive on-site works, and maintain strong health and safety compliance.

The role requires extensive rail MEP delivery, proven leadership, and effective stakeholder engagement to ensure delivery within programme and budget while upholding environmental and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have extensive experience managing Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) systems on major rail projects.
• Experience with HV, HVAC, Public Health, Fire Systems, and tunnel ventilation interfaces.
• HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the supply chain construction team to optimise delivery.
• Develop and review programmes and budgets; monitor progress and costs.
• Ensure only competent operatives on site; enforce HSE standards.
• Coordinate with QA, Technical Assurance and commercial teams on non-conformances.
• Prepare construction phase plans for M&E works and manage interfaces with stakeholders.
• Act as main client interface for project progress and safety leadership.
