We are seeking a Senior Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in Oxford. The salary ranges from £27,000 to £29,500 depending on qualifications and experience. This is a highly rewarding role with many benefits.
The team provides care five days a week for clients in shared houses and flats, creating a safe and comfortable environment while helping residents work towards independent living. The role requires occasional evening and weekend work based on the shift rota.
As a Senior Mental Health Support Worker, you will lead shifts, manage medication, delegate tasks, handle incidents, monitor health and safety, mentor support workers, and manage your own caseload. You will support clients with serious mental illnesses, including those with coexisting physical health issues, neurodiversity, substance use, and cognitive impairments.
Your responsibilities include leading shifts, delegating tasks, managing incidents, safeguarding, and ensuring policy adherence. You will mentor new staff through induction, including the Care Certificate and medication training, and undertake assessments and risk management training. Providing emotional support, practical assistance, and life skills training to residents will also be part of your role.
