Job summary

EPUT in Basildon is seeking a Band 6 MH Practitioner for the Urgent Care Department on a part-time basis. The role involves conducting biopsychosocial assessments and care planning for adults experiencing mental health crises, with a focus on high-quality, evidence-based practice.

You will work within Trust policies, ensure thorough documentation, and develop specialist clinical skills while contributing to a supportive, inclusive team environment.

Qualifications

• Registered mental health nursing registration or equivalent and degree level education.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development in contemporary mental health practice.
• Non-medical prescribing qualification or capability.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment, care and safety planning for patients in the Urgent Care Department.
• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with policies.
• Develop and maintain specialist clinical skills in mental health assessment and treatment.
• Receive, triage and assess patients with appropriate care and safety planning.
• Feedback assessment outcomes to leaders and implement management plans.
