Job summary

Greater Manchester Mental Health Foundation Trust is recruiting a Home Based Treatment Mental Health Practitioner (Band 6) to join the urgent care team in a role delivering home-based care in a 24-hour shift pattern. Night duties and weekend work may be required as part of flexible arrangements.

You will work within urgent care, participate in service development, and ensure safeguarding practices are followed.

Qualifications

• Registered with NMC (or Sub Part 1 Mental Health) or equivalent professional body.
• Experience in risk assessment and risk management.
• Experience working in a mental health and home treatment service.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the urgent care team and may be asked to work in other areas such as A&E Liaison.
• Work shift patterns across a 24-hour period.
• Contribute to the development of urgent care services.
• Follow safeguarding policies for children and vulnerable adults and share information with other agencies as appropriate.
• Comply with the Mental Health Act (1983) and other relevant legislation.
• Participate in team meetings and activities directed by senior staff.
• Work effectively with Urgent Care and Trust colleagues.
• Provide home treatment interventions and act as gatekeeper to inpatient admissions.
