Job description

The service welcomes clinicians currently working within children's or adult mental health settings who possess transferable clinical skills and experience.

Key elements of the role include:

  1. Collaborate with schools to deliver consultation, assess children and young people, and provide a range of mental health interventions within school settings. This involves direct work with children and young people, as well as offering specialist consultation, signposting, and advice to professional networks, including teaching staff.
  2. Provide case management supervision to qualified and trainee EMHPs within the Mental Health Support Team.
  3. Ensure effective care coordination, support, and advice regarding clinical care within schools, with particular attention to safeguarding and clinical risk issues.
  4. Consult with teachers and school staff to identify children and young people with emerging mental health needs as part of a whole-school approach. Support may include delivering parenting support, group work, and psychoeducation within the school setting.

Our service is proud of the positive impact we make on children and young people and the encouraging feedback from school staff, children, and families. We uphold a strong multidisciplinary ethos in our clinical delivery and have robust clinical supervision structures.
