Job description

Job Title: Part-Time Band 6 Senior Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Part-Time Band 6 Senior Mental Health (MH) Practitioner to join our Ely Older People’s Community Mental Health Team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a client group with complex mental health needs within a supportive and friendly team.

Team and Responsibilities
  1. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including Mental Health Practitioners, CPNs, Psychologists, a Consultant Psychiatrist, and Support Workers to deliver coordinated care.
  2. Provide service-user focused, evidence-based interventions for individuals aged 65 and over living at home or in care settings with functional or organic mental health conditions.
  3. Conduct assessments, deliver treatment, and coordinate care informed by professional standards and national policies.
  4. Manage a caseload, delivering therapeutic and recovery-based interventions, empowering service users and carers to engage actively in their recovery journey.
  5. Engage with third sector organizations to support service users.
  6. Participate in service development and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Location and Travel

The primary location is Princess of Wales Hospital, covering Ely and surrounding villages, with potential coverage in other areas of Cambridge. Regular travel is required, and applicants must have a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle. Please confirm these requirements in your application.
