Job summary

Merrifield Consultants is recruiting a Senior Membership Manager for an international professional membership organisation in London. You will report to the CEO and drive growth, engagement and retention across a global membership base.

The role combines commercial development, relationship-led sales and team leadership with responsibility for strengthening the value delivered to member organisations throughout their journey. A four-day week is offered with one day in the office.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of developing relationships, generating new business and supporting retention.
• Strong commercial judgement and experience of working towards targets.
• CRM and analytical skills to use data to inform decisions.
• Experience in managing or developing colleagues.
• Knowledge of international markets is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver membership acquisition plans and build a strong pipeline to achieve growth targets.
• Lead membership retention and renewals, improving engagement and reducing at-risk members.
• Oversee onboarding to help new members understand benefits and increase participation.
• Use CRM data and market insights to monitor performance and strengthen the proposition.
• Manage the Membership Coordinator and collaborate with regional and marketing teams, representing the organisation at relevant events.
