Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust invites applications for an Associate Group Manager in Medicine. You will support day-to-day operational management of the Medicine Group, encompassing Renal, General Internal Medicine and Care of the Elderly, to deliver patient-centred, high quality care.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior management within NHS or healthcare settings.
• Strong leadership, communication and change-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Medicine Group, ensuring clear communication and robust implementation of policy, objectives and targets.
• Chair and lead meetings with the Group Manager, Modern Matron and Clinical Leaders to ensure sound operational management.
• Oversee performance to meet national and local targets, and develop improvement plans for service delivery.
• Collaborate with clinical and management teams to optimise staffing and resources across the specialty.
• Monitor risk, governance and patient safety, implementing strategies to reduce incidents and improve quality.
