Job summary

East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Senior Operations Manager for General Medicine. You will provide senior operational leadership to ensure safe, effective and high-performing General Medicine services, with responsibility for GIM medical rota oversight, RTT and PTL validation, and patient access.

You will partner with clinical leads, rota teams and support functions to drive workforce planning and performance governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational oversight of GIM clinical rotas, identifying and managing workforce gaps and staffing pressures.
• Lead the validation of RTT and PTL pathways, ensuring accurate, current documentation and evidence.
• Analyse performance information and assure RTT, patient access, workforce and other operational measures.
• Collaborate with clinical leads, rota teams, waiting list, outpatient, information and finance teams to optimise workforce planning and performance data.
• Support governance, risk management, service improvement and effective use of resources.
• Provide leadership and support to administrative and rota teams, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
