Job summary

University Hospitals of Northamptonshire is seeking a dedicated Medical Device Technician to maintain and repair a wide range of clinical equipment across the Trust. You will assist in device commissioning and lifecycle management, train nursing and workshop staff, and help ensure safety and compliance in all activities across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Post-qualification experience in repair and maintenance of medical equipment across clinical settings.
• Experience with analysis, fault-finding and repair of complex electronic medical devices.
• Familiar with risk assessments and safety guidelines for medical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive maintenance, repair, commissioning and management of medical devices across the Trust.
• Train and advise staff in safe use of medical devices.
• Organise service procedures and supervise junior technicians where required.
• Maintain equipment records for audits and quality monitoring.
• Liaise with suppliers for technical and commercial information.
