Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Specialist Technologist to join the Technical team at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. The post holder will supervise a team supporting a fleet of anaesthetic machines, ventilators and ultrasound equipment, and will lead lifecycle management across sites.

You will hold an engineering/science degree with registration as a Clinical Technologist or equivalent, and lead technical development while upholding safety standards and driving service improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable Engineering or Scientific discipline.
• Specialist training for the maintenance of a range of medical equipment equivalent to Masters level.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Clinical Engineering Technical Service team at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and other sites.
• Oversee lifecycle management of the medical equipment fleet, including spare parts and tools.
• Ensure quality and safety of the service and deliver performance improvements.
• Support staff development and ensure delivery of service targets.
