Job summary

Argon Engineering Limited in New Mills, England, is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Technician to maintain and improve plant equipment. The role focuses on fault finding, preventative maintenance and reliability across the site, with a Monday–Friday days pattern and an evening on-call rotation.

You will work closely with production and engineering teams to carry out maintenance tasks, ensure safety compliance, and contribute to continuous improvement across the facility.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining complex automated manufacturing equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and preventative maintenance skills.
• Familiar with CMMS and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical fault-finding, troubleshooting and repairs across production machinery.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
• Plan, schedule and execute routine and non-routine maintenance activities.
• Complete work orders accurately within timescales.
• Identify opportunities to improve machinery performance and maintenance efficiency.
• Manage spare parts to support maintenance activities.
