Job summary

Questech Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a busy site in the UK. You will carry out fault finding, preventative maintenance and occasional light welding to ensure production lines run smoothly.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and 3–5 years' experience in a fast-paced maintenance function. On-site work with a Monday–Friday pattern and a 38,628 GBP annual salary.

Qualifications

• Fault finding and breakdown repairs on mechanical production equipment.
• Preventative maintenance routines to meet production schedules.
• Continuous improvement ideas to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Set up blades and maintain tight tolerance targets.
• Lubricate and service assets; monitor housekeeping to high standards.
• Liaise with Engineering and Operations teams to minimise downtime and support PPM programs.
• Complete work records accurately and on time.
