Job summary

Avonmouth LPG Facility is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to maintain critical process equipment at a major LPG storage site in Avonmouth. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance to support safe and reliable plant operations.

Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Supervisor, you will work with operations to improve equipment reliability, manage parts, and coordinate contractor activities, while maintaining thorough records and compliance with site procedures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' post-apprenticeship maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with mechanical plant equipment and maintenance management systems.
• Proactive approach to safety, reliability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across site equipment.
• Fault find, diagnose, and repair mechanical systems to minimise downtime.
• Utilise CMMS to manage maintenance activities and track asset performance.
• Conduct inspections and condition assessments of mechanical equipment.
• Work with operations to identify reliability improvements and preventative maintenance solutions.
• Source replacement parts and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Supervise specialist contractors and ensure safety and standards.
• Assist with maintenance planning, shutdowns and project work.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and permit-to-work procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
