CIBSE Journal is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to lead the delivery of substantial, technically complex projects. You will coordinate designers, engineers and stakeholders across multiple sites, ensuring delivery within technical, quality, cost and schedule targets.

The role focuses on subsea trees, valves and connectors, requiring hands‑on knowledge and strong leadership. Based in Aberdeen, the position offers four days per week in the office with some flexibility for site travel.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex mechanical equipment projects.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams across locations.
• Strong knowledge of subsea trees, valve systems, connectors or similar heavy mechanical assemblies.
• Willingness to work in Aberdeen with a four‑day‑per‑week office pattern.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering delivery of significant customer projects and own one major programme at a time.
• Provide technical and day‑to‑day direction to multidisciplinary engineers and designers across locations.
• Apply knowledge of subsea trees, valves, connectors to engineering decisions.
• Configure established designs to meet customer requirements rather than starting from scratch.
• Coordinate activity across design, operations, supply chain, quality and authorities.
