Job summary

Our client, an Aberdeen-based engineering organisation, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to coordinate major customer-led projects and guide multidisciplinary teams.

You will own engineering delivery, oversee design, operations and supply chain across locations, and apply deep knowledge of subsea trees, valves, connectors or heavy assemblies to meet technical, quality, cost and schedule targets.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex mechanical equipment.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams across locations.
• Strong knowledge of subsea trees, valves, connectors or heavy assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering delivery of significant customer projects, typically owning one major programme at a time.
• Provide technical and day-to-day direction to multidisciplinary engineers and designers, including resources who may not report directly to you.
• Apply knowledge of subsea trees, valve systems, connectors or heavy mechanical assemblies to engineering decisions.
• Configure established product designs to meet specific customer requirements.
• Coordinate engineering activity across design, operations, supply chain, quality and technical authorities across locations.
• Support technical reviews, customer discussions and resolution of engineering and delivery issues.
