Job summary

Equans Data Centres in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Mechanical to lead on-site mechanical construction activities for data centre projects in High Wycombe and across the UK. You will manage a team, ensure quality and safety standards, and drive timely delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, deep technical knowledge of mechanical services, and the ability to coordinate with clients and design teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with a main contractor or large subcontractor.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• In-depth technical knowledge of Mechanical Services.
• Ability to problem-solve and communicate with clients.
• Desire to continually develop knowledge and capabilities.
• Self-motivated with organisational skills and deadline focus.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
• Commercial awareness; experience in data centres is desirable.
• Degree or equivalent in a Mechanical discipline is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site mechanical construction activities from start to finish.
• Manage a team to ensure quality, safety, and environmental standards.
• Coordinate and control on-site construction progress against plan.
• Develop and approve mechanical submissions with the client and design team.
• Support programme planning and reporting of progress.
• Chair and minute subcontractor meetings.
• Record and report key metrics to management.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and HSE compliance.
