Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Mechanical Project Engineer to manage key engineering projects from conception to completion at their Randburg facility. The role blends technical engineering with project leadership to meet technical, budgetary, and schedule targets.

You will coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, supervise design phases, and ensure successful implementation of mechanical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in mechanical engineering project management.
• Proficiency in project management software and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical engineering projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and company objectives.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, risk assessment, and budget management.
• Oversee the design, procurement, and installation of mechanical equipment and systems.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and site operations, to ensure smooth project execution.
• Conduct regular project reviews, site inspections, and progress reporting to stakeholders.
• Ensure all projects comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
