Placements24 is looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead complex electrical design projects from concept to construction in Randburg, Gauteng. You will mentor a team, drive technical excellence, and ensure safe, sustainable designs.

The role requires 8+ years in electrical design consulting, a Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering, and Pr. Eng. registration with ECSA. Proficiency with ETAP and DIALux is essential, with strong leadership and client coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years in electrical design consulting.
• Proficiency in ETAP and DIALux.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, protection and earthing design.
• Pr.Eng. with ECSA registration is essential.
• Proven leadership and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
• Develop schematics, single-line diagrams, and specifications.
• Perform load flow, short-circuit, and protection coordination calculations.
• Conduct site investigations and design reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Coordinate with clients, authorities, and consultants.
