City St George's University of London seeks a Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to ensure safe, reliable operation of mechanical building services across Clerkenwell, Moorgate and Tooting campuses. The role combines hands-on delivery with shift leadership and contractor supervision.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience maintaining mechanical building services in a large estate.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Understanding of statutory compliance, safe systems of work and permit-to-work procedures.
• Experience supervising contractors and coordinating maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventative and reactive maintenance across mechanical services (HVAC, pumps and plant).
• Lead fault diagnosis and response to plant failures and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Supervise contractors and support compliance with safety requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to colleagues to ensure high-quality maintenance service.
