Job summary

City St George's, University of London is seeking a Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join the Estates, Environment & Facilities team. The role focuses on safe, reliable operation of mechanical building services across our Clerkenwell, Moorgate and Tooting campuses, delivering both hands-on maintenance and leadership on shift.

You will lead fault diagnosis, coordinate preventative and reactive work, supervise contractors and ensure statutory compliance and safe systems of work.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience maintaining mechanical building services in a large, complex environment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Understanding of statutory compliance and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventative and reactive maintenance across HVAC, pumps, and related plant.
• Lead fault diagnosis and coordinate maintenance activities on shift.
• Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
