Job summary

Matchtech Group’s client is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to join its Engineering team on a permanent basis, with flexible and hybrid working available. The role will support the delivery of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects, developing practical, sustainable and resilient civil engineering solutions for communities and the environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering design for water and wastewater projects.
• Chartered status or working towards Chartership preferred.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil design activities and technical work packages.
• Develop designs, calculations, layouts, specs and documentation for water/wastewater projects.
• Design infrastructure including structures, drainage, pipelines and earthworks.
• Produce cost-effective, buildable solutions considering safety and whole-life costs.
• Review outputs for regulatory, company and industry standards compliance.
• Coordinate design with Process, Mechanical, EICA, Structural, Digital and Commissioning teams.
• Identify design risks and opportunities for optimisation throughout the project.
• Build relationships with clients, leads and suppliers; mentor junior staff.
