Pertemps Bond is recruiting an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established engineering business in Swadlincote. The role combines technical engineering, hands-on problem solving and customer interaction across UK sites and the workshop.

You will lead inspections, fault diagnosis and repair programs for industrial rotating and vibratory machinery, with opportunities to influence design and engineering recommendations. Permanent role with travel UK-wide.

Competenze

• Minimum 5 years in an industrial engineering environment.
• Experience servicing industrial rotating equipment and vibratory machinery.
• Knowledge of machining, welding, fabrication and fastening.
• Machinery design principles and analysis experience.
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience supervising inspections, servicing and repair programmes.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers and teams.
• Experience with workshop and onsite customer work is desirable.

• Lead machinery inspections, servicing and repair programmes in workshop and at customer sites.
• Diagnose faults across industrial rotating and vibratory machinery.
• Perform root cause analysis and propose engineering solutions.
• Support design and modification of machinery and equipment.
• Manage service and repair schedules; supervise field inspections.
