Pertemps is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a role in Swadlincote, combining hands-on engineering with client-facing responsibilities. You will work across workshop and customer sites throughout the UK, leading inspections, servicing and repairs of industrial rotating and vibratory machinery.

The successful candidate will bring strong fault-finding, design understanding and reporting skills, with 5+ years in an industrial environment and relevant qualifications.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in an industrial engineering environment.
• Experience servicing industrial rotating equipment and vibratory machinery.
• Knowledge of machining, welding, fabrication and fastening techniques.
• Experience with machinery design principles and analysis.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience supervising engineering inspections, servicing and repair programmes.

Responsabilités

• Lead machinery inspections, servicing and repair programmes in workshop and at customer sites.
• Inspect and diagnose faults across industrial rotating and vibratory machinery.
• Carry out root cause analysis and identify engineering solutions.
• Support the design and modification of machinery and equipment.
• Manage service and repair programmes, including schedules.
• Supervise onsite inspections, commissioning and condition monitoring.
• Diagnose basic electrical faults where required.
• Produce detailed technical engineering reports for clients and internal teams.
• Collaborate with fitters and engineers to ensure repair and service delivery.
