Job summary

Wolviston Management Services, recruiting on behalf of Tioxide Materials Ltd, invites applications for Mechanical Engineer and Reliability Engineer roles at the Greatham, Hartlepool site. These permanent, full-time positions demand robust engineering expertise and a proactive approach to asset integrity in a high-hazard chemical environment.

You will collaborate across maintenance, operations and projects to improve plant availability, manage risk and deliver capital improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards.
• Min 5 years' experience in an Upper Tier COMAH manufacturing, chemical or similar high-hazard environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment, pressure systems and reliability.
• Experience with plant troubleshooting, outages, safety reviews and risk assessments.
• Proven ability to analyse technical problems and drive corrective actions.
• Experience using maintenance data to identify improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support to plant teams, troubleshoot equipment issues and support planned maintenance.
• Support capital projects through mechanical design, equipment specification, installation, commissioning and handover.
• Lead reliability improvement initiatives to reduce failures and increase plant availability.
• Apply reliability engineering techniques including root cause analysis and condition monitoring.
• Contribute to safety reviews, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance and other teams to develop robust engineering solutions.
