Job summary

Wolviston Management Services Ltd is recruiting for 4 Electrical & Instrument Engineers (E&I Engineers) to join the engineering team at their Greatham, Hartlepool facility. The roles involve providing technical E&I support to maximise plant availability and reliability, with emphasis on safety, compliance and asset integrity.

Essential requirements include a degree in Electrical/Instrumentation, Chartered status or progress toward it, and at least 5 years' experience in a COMAH environment, plus

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation or related field.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards Chartered status.
• Minimum 5 years in an upper-tier COMAH manufacturing or process environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
• Experience with SIL assessment and Safety Instrumented Systems.
• Experience supporting plant troubleshooting, outages and maintenance.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct line management.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical E&I engineering support to plant teams for reliability.
• Prepare detailed technical specs for electrical equipment and repairs.
• Support planned maintenance events and outages with E&I input.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, capacity and cost.
• Contribute to safety reviews, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Maintain and update E&I life plans for asset replacement or upgrades.
• Evaluate modifications to mitigate engineering risk and ensure standards.
• Promote adherence to site engineering standards and a values-based culture.
