Job summary

Wolviston Management Services Ltd, in partnership with Tioxide, seeks a Responsible Mechanical Engineer for the Greatham site. This senior leadership role focuses on asset integrity, safety and regulatory compliance within a major UK manufacturing environment.

You will lead mechanical engineering strategy, oversee design, maintenance and inspections, and act as the Qualified Person for mechanical engineering, coordinating with HSE and external specialists.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in chemical, process, manufacturing or high-hazard environments.
• Strong knowledge of asset integrity engineering and pressure systems integrity.
• Familiarity with PSSR, COMAH and UK regulations.
• Ability to engage, lead and influence multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead site strategy for mechanical engineering excellence and asset life planning.
• Ensure assets are maintained, inspected and operated in line with UK legislation and COMAH requirements.
• Serve as technical interface for mechanical, civil and structural matters with HSE and external suppliers.
• Own mechanical engineering standards, including interpretation, assurance and approvals.
• Provide engineering support for asset improvement, maintenance and operation.
• Coordinate and develop mechanical duty holders and approvals.
• Lead compliance activities for mechanical, lifting equipment and guarding.
