Job summary

Bridgend County Borough Council in Bridgend, Wales, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the Mechanical Engineering Section within the Major Projects Team and provide strategic design leadership for a portfolio of projects.

You will work on new builds, extensions, refurbishments and maintenance schemes, while ensuring CDM compliance, health and safety in design, and carbon reduction toward Net Zero targets.

• Lead and mentor the Mechanical Engineering Section within the Major Projects Team.
• Deliver mechanical design across new builds, extensions and refurbishments.
• Ensure CDM regulations and health & safety are integrated into design solutions.
• Support carbon reduction initiatives and Net Zero targets for assets.
