Job summary

Bridgend County Borough Council is seeking an Assistant Electrical Engineer to join the Major Projects Team. You will support design, delivery and management of electrical building services across a portfolio of projects, including schools and community buildings.

The role requires strong technical and analytical skills, independent work and teamwork, with a focus on sustainable engineering and compliance with CDM Regulations and BS 7671.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical building services design and delivery.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of CDM Regulations and BS 7671.

Responsibilities

• Support design, delivery and management of electrical building services across construction projects.
• Undertake site inspections and surveys; monitor installation quality.
• Collaborate with consultants, contractors, clients and design team throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and review electrical designs and contribute toward Net Zero objectives.
