Job summary

WGM Engineering Ltd, part of the RSK Group, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the E&M Services team on permanent basis. The role is site based across the Central Belt of Scotland, delivering critical infrastructure projects with a hands-on, safety-focused leadership style from Scotland’s engineering hub.

You will coordinate field resources, drive productivity, and ensure safe, on-time delivery to high standards. A company van and fuel card are provided to support on-site operations.

Qualifications

• Qualification in mechanical engineering or related discipline at degree level or equivalent, supported by substantial industry experience.
• Experience in senior field-engineering, maintenance-supervision or equivalent leadership role.
• Experience leading and coordinating field-based engineering, maintenance, installation or service delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership across WGM’s MEICA teams with safety and quality focus.
• Coach and develop Chargehands, Field Engineers, technicians and subcontractors.
• Oversee installation, maintenance, testing and commissioning ensuring RAMS, permits and standards.
• Plan and coordinate labour, subcontractors, materials and resources to deliver programmes.
• Build relationships with clients and internal teams to manage risks and report progress.
