Job summary

Skilled Careers is working with a Birmingham-based M&E consultancy to appoint a Senior Mechanical Engineer. You will lead mechanical design, deliver projects and liaise with clients, architects and contractors, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance across a busy Birmingham team.

The role involves developing concepts through construction, mentoring juniors, and maintaining schedules while upholding UK Building Regulations and CIBSE guidance.

Qualifications

• Degree or qualification in mechanical engineering or building services.
• 5+ years' experience in mechanical building services.
• Strong client-facing and communication skills.
• Experience delivering projects from concept to construction.
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and CIBSE guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and delivery of building services projects.
• Produce and review mechanical calculations, specifications and reports.
• Develop designs from concept through to detailed design and construction.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and stakeholders; liaise with clients.
