Job summary

The Design Business in Birmingham is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their Birmingham office with hybrid working. The role offers a salary of £40,000–£55,000.

You will lead projects and a multidisciplinary team of engineers, energy modellers and BIM technicians, guiding them from concept design through RIBA Stage 3 to final contractor proposals. The role covers client engagement, multi-project leadership and familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, IES and Hevacomp to meet DfE/BIM

Qualifications

• Experience in client engagement and managing multiple projects.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong project management and BIM coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and teams to deliver successful outcomes.
• Collaborate with the Education Lead on project aspects.
• Oversee engineers, energy modellers and BIM technicians from concept to RIBA Stage 3 drafts and through final contractor proposals.
