Brightsmith in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own the mechanical design of key components within a compact energy system. You will lead from concept through prototyping and testing, turning ideas into manufacturable hardware.

You will work hands-on with Creo and 3D CAD, perform analyses, support manufacturing, and collaborate with systems engineers and suppliers to ensure scalable production.

Formación

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience in mechanical design and testing.
• Proficient CAD experience with Creo and 3D modelling.
• Experience with design for manufacture and scalable production.
• Independent worker with good communication across disciplines.

Responsabilidades

• Lead mechanical design of key components in a wider energy system.
• Translate concepts to CAD, prototyping, testing and validation.
• Create 3D models, drawings and specifications.
• Ensure integration with systems engineers.
• Support prototypes with hands-on hardware.
• Perform root cause analysis of technical issues.
• Define component requirements and validation tests.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality and supply chain.
• Plan for mass production and scalable design.
• Assist design reviews, risk assessments and improvements.
• Liaise with suppliers and external partners.
• Own mechanical activities within a small autonomous team.
