Job summary

Kier Group's Kier Mechanical & Electrical team in Cambridgeshire is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to deliver mechanical project engineering services. You will ensure designs meet specifications, stay within cost and programme, and work with the project team across Custodial, Commercial, Defence, Health & Science sectors.

You will review designs, manage change, lead the team, and uphold Kier standards for safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Technically astute in Mechanical Services and Safety.
• CSCS and SMSTS accreditation.
• Strong communication skills and team collaboration.
• Sound decision-making based on clear criteria and facts.
• Understanding of commercial priorities and workload alignment.

Responsibilities

• Procure, plan and carry out works safely to Kier standards and UK law.
• Review designs with teams and clients for efficiency, safety and compliance.
• Manage robust change control and identify risk and opportunity across the lifecycle.
• Provide leadership to project team members and set clear expectations.
• Implement and manage quality control procedures in line with Kier Standards.
