Job summary

Kier Group is recruiting a Senior Mechanical Engineer for the Kier Mechanical & Electrical team in the Cambridgeshire area. You will deliver mechanical project engineering services, ensure compliance with specifications, and manage costs and programme timelines within a design and build environment.

Reporting to the project team, you will lead work packages, review designs with clients, and uphold Kier standards and safe working practices on complex projects across sectors including Custodial,

Qualifications

• CSCS and SMSTS accreditations required.
• Experience delivering mechanical services on complex projects.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure works are procured, planned and carried out safely in line with Kier standards, project requirements and UK law.
• Review designs with design teams and clients to ensure they are optimised for efficient and safe construction, fully compliant with standards and contract requirements.
• Managing robust change control processes and identifying risk and opportunity throughout the project lifecycle.
• Providing leadership for project team members within your area of control, setting clear expectations and offering guidance to maximise performance.
• Implementing and managing quality control procedures in line with Kier Standards whilst keeping accurate records.
