Job summary

Kier Group in Shaftesbury, Dorset, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join the Kier Mechanical & Electrical team on a large-scale Custodial project. You will deliver mechanical engineering services to keep projects compliant, on budget and on time from design review through procurement and construction.

The role requires CSCS and SMSTS accreditation, strong collaborative skills with design teams and clients, and the ability to manage budgets and risk while guiding project teams

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in Mechanical Services and Safety.
• CSCS and SMSTS accreditation.
• Experience in managing project engineering services.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing designs with design teams and clients to ensure optimised for efficient and safe construction
• Managing robust change control processes and overseeing risk and opportunity
• Implementing and managing quality control procedures in line with Kier Standards
• Providing leadership and guidance to project team members, setting clear expectations and offering feedback
• Ensuring all works are procured, planned and carried out safely in accordance with Kier standards and UK law
